The best gluten-free pizza in Italy!

1. Mamma Eat (Rome)

This has to be the most amazing gluten free pizza I ever had. It’s honestly better than many of the pizzas with gluten I’ve had. When the waiter brought the pizza out, I had to ask if it was actually gluten-free. With a spotted, thick crust, it looked just like a wood fired pizza that I would have eaten before I became gluten free. And it tasted just like glutinous pizza too! Most gluten-free pizzas have a distinctive taste that reminds you that you’re not eating the real deal. But not this one… I could have sworn that I was eating an authentic Italian pizza, gluten and all.

2. Mastino V (Amsterdam)

Okay so this isn’t in Italy but I couldn’t go without mentioning this amazing gluten free pizza. It’s saying something that it’s better than almost everywhere I tried in Italy. And everything can be made vegan too!

3. Le Specialità (Milan)

The gluten-free pizza here was so good that it was even approved by someone who is not gluten free! When I visited, I split two pizzas with my friend who usually doesn’t eat gluten free and we both agreed that the pizza was delicious.

4. Voglia Di Pizza (Rome)

Very delicious gluten free pizza! It just didn’t taste quite as good after having tasted the pizza from Mamma Eat.

5. Be Bop (Milan)

While this pizza place is far down the list, the pizza was still better than most gluten free pizza in the US by a lot. It just wasn’t good enough to pass for glutinous pizza.

6. Pizza place in Venice (I don’t remember the name)

The pizza crust tasted like it had recently been frozen and the cheese was nothing special. Still pretty decent pizza though.
